Dear Sheriff Simpson:
I am writing this statement of facts as concerns what I believe to be a crime that was commited by a Wackenhutt Security Guard inside the the De La Rue Security Print Company, Parking Lot, located at 10 0 Powers Court, Dulles, Va 20166 Wackenhutt Security is the firm that provides security for De La Rue Security Pr int. The guards involved are named Mohamed, Lt. Holder, Reynolds, and others yet to be named. Including Fred Lawerence Security Director for De La Rue.
On Wednesday August 4th 1999, I slept inside my red 1978 Chevrolet van. I had a early project to work on passports begining at 5 o'clock in the morning. I had requested from Lt. Holder that he have one of the guards wake me at 4:30 am. I also set my alarm to wake up at 4:30. It rang I became awake. A little later I heard someone humming a tune from in front of my vehicle, that was parked inside the De La Rue Security Print compound. The guard then walked by my vehicle, I watched him go to the top of the hill. And several minutes later, I heard scrapping sounds run the full length of my vehicle. The sound was like keys or a stick rubbing along side. This guard Mohamed, hit my vehicle and stated in a loud voice, "Get Up!" I left work that day a 2:30 pm. Drove to a shopping center where I observed the scratches on my vehicle. I reported this verbally to Lt. Holder., telling him to inform the guard not to touch my vehicle. I also reported this incident to the Director of Security, Fred Lawerence. As we ll as to Susan Gunther, H.R. Manager. I repeatally told all of them that my vehicle was inside the compound. I told the Wachenhutt guard Reynolds about this incident. He is the only person to show concern.
I asked about the video camera tape, that it would show what happened with t he guard and my vehicle. Fred Lawerence stated you can't see anything because of the trees. The response that I got from all of them, seemed to me to show disception on their part. They all pretended or eluded that I said that I was outside the compound. I requested to see the tape and was told that there was nothing to see. When I was previously threatened by a UPS Driver, some months earlier inside the De La Rue compound I wrote a request to Mr. Mike Little, President of De La Rue , requesting to see the video tape of this threat. A copy of this letter was given to Fred Lawerence Security Director. And through Susan Gunther, HR Manager, I was told that my request was denied to see the tapes.
Several weeks earlier another incident took place a De La Rue, Loudon Count y Officer, E.A. Martin Deputy Field Operations Badge # 9438. Reponded to the physical attack on vehicles, by unknowns, which included breaking out a car window, breaking off my mirror, as well as damaging the De La Rue M ail box a 100 Powers Court. I swept the glass off the road the next day, a few d ays later someone swept the glass back under my vehicle. I requested to see the tapes of the vehicles retreating down Powers Court. Fred Lawerence stated that there is nothing to see. I mentioned this to Holder, he claimed too that you could not see anything except side lights. The only guards to show concern was Reynolds and a guard named Big Mike who recently took a position with the US Secret service.
In a confrontation that I had with Lt. Holder on Wednesday August 11, 1999, over these incidents that I described above. Holder demanded to know how long Reynolds looked at my vehicle, outside the building. Was it ten of twenty minutes, he asked. I replied I don't recall. He pursued the question. I continued to reply "I don't recall." I then asked Holder, did you write a report on the damage to my vehicle? He said he did not. Wh en I asked why, Holder replied that it was insignificant. I became annoyed and demanded to no why, he, a Wachenhutt guard was protecting another Wachenhutt guard Mohamed, who was a suspect in the scratching of my vehicle. Holder stated Mohamed only had one key, are you telling me that he put all those scratched on your vehicle with one key. Holder then went and got the lone key, and waved it in front of my face. This is the key. He made all those scratches with that one key. I replied how many keys does it take to make a scratch. I told Holder that he was unfit to be a guard in this building. That he was protecting Wachenhutt Security, and not De La Rue Employees. He then turned his back on me and walked away. I beat on the window and went around and beat on the door to get his attention. I then proceeded through the hallway to the De La Rue Office. To go to President Mike Littles Office to complain about Holder. Where a female employee named Renee, snickered and laughed at me as I passed her desk. Vice President Eric Binns came out of his office, and told me to quiet down. And stop raising my voice. We eventually had two meetings attended by Susan Gunther , HR Manager, Vice President Eric Binns and Director of Security Fred Lawerence and myself.
I was told by Vice President Eric Binns I would be sent home for five days without pay. Sheriff Simpson, because of the deception shown by De La Rue Manage ment and Wackenhutt Security, I am requesting that your Office use probable cause to sieze the tapes, to prove my charges.
